Aww, no more CSS ;_; Wouldn't it be cool if everyone could set their own background, font- and link-colours on devArt? I doubt it'd be hard to do, and it would make everyone's journal a lot more personal ^^;

I'll be leaving Austria for quite some time this night, and I don't think I'm ready for that just yet. While I think I have everything packed I need, I know myself well enough to know that I'll probably forget something again. And of course, I will not notice until I'm in the airplane (that'd mean I didn't forget my tickets, at least :giggle: ). Hehe, I'll take my tablet with me, and hope I'll somehow find some computer I could plug it in to .. and same goes for the Prismacolor pencils - should I take the markers with me too? Really, if I had one week left to get everything done - I wouldn't complain. By the way, I signed up for art classes and maths (I need to do that ;P).. provided they let me in, of course :aww:

There's another thing I'd like to do, and that is saying thank you to everyone posting on my last journal entry, and my page. You see, while I decided to step down from staff myself, and one could say I should obviously expect losing my admin-status, it's still kind of a shock when you refresh the page and actually see it's over .. I'm sure many of the former long-time admins can confirm that ^^; Anyhow, it helped a lot seeing a lot of my friends still being there after such a long time, taking the time and effort to leave some nice and encouraging words there. Really, I would probably have felt really lost and alone if it wasn't for that, so I'd like to thank every single person for that - for most I did, some I alas didn't have the chance to get back to yet (I know, nishi ^^;), and seeing my plane will leave in just a handful of hours, I don't think I'll be able to change that just now, as much as I'd love to. Anyhow - thank you everyone, I guess it's these harder times one gets to know who really cares :hug:

By the way: Did you ever wonder whether the images you see on your screen are as bright or dark as everyone else sees them? You can try it with a friend, there is a chance that your screen will display the images slightly different than the one of your friend. Also, if you have your screen near a window, with sun shining through (it's healthiest if it's parallel to the window, not facing it, or facing away from it, they say :giggle: ), most images will probably appear a bit more orange-red than in a rather dark room. What many do to make their screen display images as bright and with the same colours the artist (and many other) saw them, is calibrating it, thus knowing they'd see each image and colour just the way it was intended to. While real and precise calibrating is quite expensive, what I can offer you is a rough calibration, so your screen has just about the right brightness and contrast. Feel free to have a look here, if you'd like to try it out: Screen Calibration ^-^

One thing I thought about a lot too was submitting my work mainly to my website. The reason for this is that I always wanted my website to represent me, where I'd submit my work to, and where people could leave feedback, you know? Don't worry though, you won't need to keep track of my website now and look whether I have submitted something - I'll post my work on devArt as usual, just that I'll put a link into the description where you could look at it in greater detail. You'll also find a button to it in my journal, such as this one:
Lolly on Canvas
which you can click to look at the actual drawing (gift-art gets a ribbon and a heart :giggle: ). Now since it's on my website, I can try out things I've planned for a while - for example, how about having the comment box directly below the picture? That way you can look at it when commenting, instead of scrolling up and down all the time. There's a few other things I'm trying out and changing, as I find the time, so if you have any suggestions or ideas what you would do, be sure to drop me a note, okay? :aww:
Friends
I didn't get the chance to change a lot here, so if you read my last journal already, this will be old news for you. In case you haven't: I'm currently redoing my friendslist (as such I'm still missing a bit and need to change things here and there), but you can already have a look at what I'm up to by looking at my full journal, at the right hand side :aww:.

Heh, I'll make sure to drop my again once I'm in the United States, and if everything goes well, I should have something to submit too (so you don't have to wait half a year for the next drawing *cough*badtobias*cough* ) ^-^

Meep, way too long again, I know, I know ^^ Thank you for reading though, and take care everyone,
Tobias :hug:

- Close Friends on deviantArt

This is another thing I've been trying out for a while now: Basically, I'd love to draw at least a little attention to drawings I feel to feature here. If you like them or if they appeal to you, feel free to leave the artists a few nice words - they'll appreciate it for sure. :aww:

The drawings are randomly chosen from a carefully selected set every couple of hours. You can get right to the full view by clicking on it ^-^ Also, if you know a picture or work you think would fit here and which I would like, feel free to send me a note (buut don't suggest your own ones, that's a little sneaky ;P )

- Did you know? ^-^(view all)
- Time Zone Tool: If you want to tell someone else a time without having to worry about timezones, give this page a try ;P
- Avatar Resize Tool: Need to quickly make a picture avatar-sized? If so, you can test this one out ^^
